What are the lunchtime arrangements for Year 7?
Year 7 students have their lunch as a year group, between 12:30pm and 1:00pm. This ensures there is minimal queuing time and that they can eat together in their first year at the academy. The catering provided by the academy operates a “Pay Online” system. Parents can load student accounts from home, or students can add money using finger recognition stations at the academy. We will provide log-on details for parents in due course. Students are welcome to bring a packed lunch.
How is the school uniform organised?
We will provide a full uniform for all Year 7 students. Trutex (uniform supplier) will attend each primary school to measure Year 6 students during June/July. The uniform packs can be collected from Outwood Academy Portland during the summer holidays, this date will be confirmed nearer the time. You may exchange uniform that does not fit and place further orders at this event. However, we recommend you order extra supplies at the beginning of the holidays to ensure arrival before the start of term. We ask that parents purchase plain black shoes as well as non-marking trainers for PE.
